Judy Spolini, Alvina Balistreri, Kathy Nagel and Ember HeuerSome of our staff members have been here since before we were. Legal Assistant Judy Spolini started at the firm in 1977, and continues to support Clyde Nelson and Thom Knudson’s trust and estate clients.
Native Petaluman Alvina Balistreri has served as legal secretary at BNK since 1985 after receiving her certificate as a legal secretary from Santa Rosa Junior College. Alvina works closely with Thom Knudson’s estate planning clients to make sure their documents are accurate and reflect their family values and wishes.
Paralegal Kathy Nagel started at BNK in 1999. She received her Legal Assistant certification through the Attorney Assistant Certificate Program from Sonoma State University in 1995. Both Kathy Nagel and Ember Heuer are paralegals qualified to act under California Business and Professions Code Sections 6450-6456. Ember Heuer received her Specialized Associate Degree as a Paralegal from Empire College in 2010. Kathy and Ember both assist the attorneys in probate and trust administration, excelling at customer service, detailed accounting preparation, and coordinating with tax preparers.
